I don’t watch SRK movies or any bollywood shit in theatre because thats the matter of choice some likes it some don’t but m very fond of good music specially lyrics. I dont think english lyricist are good than our hindi lyricist because I don’t think I am so knowledgable to comment on it but when somebody says javed akhtar is best lyricist we have in bollywood it hearts because GULZAR is far far ahead of JA and many others. If you truly love lyrics listen again songs of angoor, aandhi, massom, gharonda, satya, dil se, saathiya, bunty aur bubly, Omkara etc he is such a brilliant artist of thought & imagination JA is not even a 10% of him. The above lyrics of KANK title song is very very ordinary lyrics if you check you will found more than 10000 songs like this. Not a single word or phrase is impactful to raise eyebrow to react WOW.
Mitwa lyrics by Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan is far better than JA title song. Remember song of satya badlon se kat kat ke, tu mere pass bhi hai, kallu mama, sapne mein milti hai. In a single movie 4 different kind of best lyrics with their respective situations. You will find good & bad lyrics by JA but in case of GULZAR u ll find good & very good you just have to listen lyrics carefully it ll throw your mind here & there to imagine things which is beyond the mind…finaly only word come out of your mouth i. e. WOW WOW WOW

those who say that movie is crap should really review their priorities!! nice movie i must say, all the characters masterfully play their role.
Big B is great in his role as “sexy Sam” and not to mention his son Bachan Jr who is just like a sex addict LOL..
well all the songs really are nice to listen and they got beat and feelings in them. am not a music director or anything as such but where there is good music am into it..
to end this i would like to say am from mauritius and this movie is a big success here and its HOUSEFUL for every sessions. people are watching and watching it again and again. karan johar has delivered a story which involves outside relationship without going on sexuality but rether romance and it shows that how this guy cares about his films coz its made for everyone.
i just hope he continues delivering us such nice movies in the future to come coz its always nice to watch his movies over and over again. he said that he was nervous before KANK was release but he shouldnt worry at all coz we all know how talented he is and what he can do.. keep on karan and we like ur films specially here in mauritius where u came this year for the ZEE awards

This movie is total crap and a waste of time. This movie shows that having an affair outside marraiage is right. It is wrong. Karan ji, this is the first time you have made a flop movie. The only thing I liked about it are the songs. Sharukh Khan had done a great job in the acting, and thats what made people hate him now that he acted so well in such a horrible role. They should have learnt their mistakes in the end.

‘Alisha’ grow up, its just a movie. Rani would never do that in real life!! If u were so bothered about it u should curse Karan Johar for directing the movie that way.
The movie was not as great as K3G. The songs are pretty good as usual.
I loved the movie and especially its songs! The movie reminds us that we really don’t have to continue in an unhappy relationship, and can go on really where ever our heart takes us! Love knows no boundaries and social barriers and it is pure love that wins the day!

Hi there! Watched this movie in San Francisco. Controversial topic handled well with great cast and fine acting moments from Abhishek, Shahrukh. Great photography, scene composition in keeping with Karan Johan production. Equally fitting New York locales.
Net result: A must see movie. But don’t expect to watch it over and over again (unlike some of other Karan’s earlier flicks, i.e. Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham.
P.S. The movie earned $3Million in the US.

kabhi alvida na kehna was an excellent movie despite the fact that it depicted society’s “wrong” principles but who’s to say what’s wrong or right..
well the lyrics are well written but you have only too and the film really rocked

KANK is the best film i have ever seen. I like the story. This can be understood only by the person who passed through same kind of situation. One thing i did not like is karan has characterised shahrukh and rani as negative person. And he presurrised them to feel sorry for their feelings. Actuly that should not be like that. They have done nothing wrong. If you dont love a person than you should not waste you life with him/ her. And if you love someboddy you should not let her go away from your life.
That is what if heartly feel.
And the song Kabhi alvida na kahena…. says everything , nothing to explain more.

the story is not accepted by indians. It is aginst our culture, but we all accepted the film KANH. it has for many reason. what ever the I like SRK and Karan .
